                In September 1964, Government of Maharashtra sanctioned the Nurses Training School, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Parel, Mumbai; with a view to securing adequate trained Nursing Staff for the Employee’s State Insurance Scheme (ESIS) Hospitals. This is the first and only Nursing School established out of 14 ESIS Hospitals in Maharashtra. The Nursing School has completed 48years of its glorious existence.

                The Nursing School is ideally attached to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Parel, Mumbai. The School conducts Revised General Nursing Midwifery (R.G.N.M.) course affiliated to Maharashtra Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council.

                The Nursing School observes a motto ‘For the Spread of Humanism’ in accordance of which the School aims to motivate the Professional Nurses to take care of Sickly persons which will bridge the gap between the Hospital and Community.
